We'll be following moves made by the Trump admin. that are affecting current military service members and vets for the foreseeable future. If that's you, or you're an employee at the VA, VBA, VHA or related department please reach out: [email protected] , or on Signal: vcoleman91.99

"The Trump administration has terminated $800 million in grants to Johns Hopkins University, spurring the nation’s top spender on research and development to plan layoffs and cancel health projects, from breast-feeding support efforts in Baltimore to mosquito-net programs in Mozambique."

The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled. This will hurt both kids and small, local farmers.

Watters: Can you believe Canada tried to shut off our electricity? I mean it's almost like they want us to invade

In West Wing Playbook today, we recount the extraordinary two-day testimony of CFPB operations chief Adam Martinez, who provided the most detailed look yet at DOGE’s takeover and attempted dismantling of a federal agency. www.politico.com/newsletters/...

Oh, a what now????? There's a "Russian-owned" steel plant in the US making armoured vehicles for the US military. And apparently, they have been falsifying the efficacy of the amour meant to protect US soldiers and our allies.

This seems illegal.

Congress's silence on Trump's desire to annex Canada, a long-term ally, is so damning on both legal and moral levels. The utter lack of vocal opposition is either tacit approval or political fear. Maybe even both.

“The whole system of finding, diagnosing and treating tuberculosis — which kills more people worldwide than any other infectious disease — has collapsed in dozens of countries across Africa and Asia since President Trump ordered the aid freeze on Jan. 20, Inauguration Day.”

What competitive authoritarianism looks like - making arbitrary decisions to use state power to punish and undermine dissenters

A novel tactic from a novel source: @raskin.house.gov is organizing folks to send Privacy Act requests to DOGE w/a pre-filled form. "DOGE...has an obligation to respond to specific demands from any of the 340 million U.S. citizens who exercise their legal right" jamieraskin.com/doge-privacy...

I’ve heard from an extremely reliable source that the entire National Center for Education Statistics is **gone**

One reason why it's critical for everyone, including foreign countries, to destroy Musks wealth is to help protect the integrity of elections

If they can bring down the US Department of Education, they will be emboldened to bring down your state department of education, your local school board. The target is public education itself, folks.

My latest, on the Commerce contracts freeze and NOAA getting dragged further down into the mud:

Which is why: divest, divest, divest.

The largest private employer in Baltimore just lost $800 million in federal contracts and grants. This recession is going to be a doozy.

With all of the new people here, I am reposting my pro-democracy Starter Pack. I will do a more complete overhaul sometime soon, but this should help get people going! Enjoy. go.bsky.app/JSLScTv

How is protesting Tesla domestic terrorism but attacking the Capitol building is not? 🤔

During his first term Trump asked if the military could “beat the f*ck out” of protesters “Crack their skulls” Or “shoot them in the leg” He was told it’s unconstitutional But now-buoyed with a Supreme Court decision which gives him broad immunity He’s looking for a new way to get his wish

🧪The entire staff of the Department of Education’s NCES-a vital independent statistical agency - has just been RIFed. The continued erasure of data and evidence allows for the Trump administration to hide the impact of their corruption. #EduSky #Scisky @aeraedresearch.bsky.social @cossa.bsky.social

Goodbye, life’s work. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/11/c...

Trump's attacks on the Department of Education should remind us never to elect to high office anyone without a stake in society. We suffered the same in the UK from 2010, when people who used private healthcare and private schools ripped up public services.

Nearly 13 million people in the U.S. hold green cards.  Tens of thousands more are here temporarily as foreign students and professors.  All are now in danger of being arrested by the Trump regime if they exercise their First Amendment rights.
