Ya, he's in a bad way. Have you ever ridden the Underground in London? There is a recording that tells you to "plz mind the gap..." when the doors open. This dude clearly didn't mind the gap!

The pleasure is all mine! I love meeting other fans, and making these boxes is def therapeutic for me. I was made for different times. Your box is a fun challenge bc I'm making all kinds of new things - the bust, a gramophone, and I'm actually taking a crack at Holmes's violin!

It's yours!! Yay! I'm about halfway through, so I'll let you know when I'm done! 🤘🪩❤️

I used to glue the whole scene down, but now I'm designing them more like dollhouses for specific scenes from the stories. Like a diorama that ppl can set up themselves, and they have to read the story if they want to set it up "correctly."

Thank you!! It's yours if you want it! No one has claimed this box yet, and it sounds like it would find a loving home with you! 😊 I don't take money for them, so don't worry about that part. And I'm using a fun new interactive design I'm excited to roll out!

Hell ya, that would be great! What is your hobby - are you also into miniatures?

I make them and give them away 😊 Before I got on Bluesky I would leave them in bookstores and coffee shops etc, but now most of them I give to ppl I meet here, which is more fun anyway! Sometimes ppl trade me for something they've made, but it's not necessary.

Ha!! I love that part, too - so funny. I think the relationship between Sherlock and Mycroft is rather adorable, and I fantasize about a real life Diogenes Club bc it sounds perfect to me, lol. Okie dokie, your box will be next after this one!

The tiny things matter. If each of us do the tiny things, we're all working towards doing the really big thing.

I'm glad that you're finding other people to be with, it's too scary of a time to have to face alone. ❤️

I'm learning some old labor union, suffrage, and abolitionist songs to play on my violin at rallies, like beforehand while ppl are milling around. Seems like a fun old timey way to protest in semi-rural KY

If you'd like, I'd be happy to make a Bruce-Partington box for you!

Yes! I'm actually going to TRY making his violin, since it appears in the story, but idk. I'm using a new style & everything has to be to scale, so it will have to be so tiny. We'll see! I'm ok I guess, all things considered. I generally avoid the internet nowadays. How have you been?

Seriously! That's the problem! I also love Milverton, where they go to the dark side! I love how delighted Holmes gets when Watson demands to go w him, and their naughty school boy vibes. As an adult I enjoy speculating about the H/W relationship, and I think that is also the gayest story, lol

It IS the eternally hard question, and it's changed over time. When I was a kid I was a huge fan of Speckled Band and Silver Blaze, bc they're so classic and perfect. But nowadays I love the 2nd half of Empty House, when Holmes hunts the hunter and outwits him w/o violence. A msg for today. Now you!

Man, as a former art student who had to study Chinese pottery on occasion for art history courses, I really sympathize with Watson's plight! Plus there is the delight Holmes takes in terrorizing him with a dramatic demise. Poor Watson!

YES!!! I love that picture so much, it was def the inspiration for this box. And you're correct, I did give that box away already - but I would be pleased as punch to make you a Portable Mystery of the story of your choice!

This right here. And also allows Russia et al to start dividing your populace with pro-America vs anti-America messaging etc. I hate all of this and have always considered Canada our classier and more well-behaved older siblings. I am so sorry.
