Ok sorry but getting on my soapbox to say that this isn’t a u-turn or a 180 or even a pause on tariffs. The MASSIVE tariffs are gone but BIG tariffs are still in place. And more so than before last week. Frame it right.

Hasn't anyone noticed? When Trump threatens tariffs, stock market plunges, when he walks it back a little, stock market soars. Don Jr., Eric, and Musk (or their wives) are probably all sitting at their trading desks making millions/billions off of this insider trading.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.
