True, but the 1st Bachelor students usually don’t know who Gramsci is, so this article is quite good at showing the right-wing appropriation today. It shows the urgency and political salience of his thought for the uninitiated.

I first encountered them years ago as a fringe French philosophy (Alain de Benoist). Also thought this would just be weird individuals in dusty seminar rooms. But a few years later, interviews with far-right activists emerged riddled with new left lingo like “long march through the institutions”.
