I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Reb. Absolutely love it. So much, I bought it four times… Possibly the only criticism I have of it is the recycling of boss fights.

That’s wonderful news Seth. I hope she continues her recovery well.

I think this is highly unlikely. I reckon, given that development has barely started, that this will be released after the PS5’s/XBSX’s successors have hit the market. Do we think it likely that a game releasing on PS6/XboxNext could be running on a PS4-ish equivalent?

I think you’ve slightly misunderstood this one: he’s not removing the security detail, he’s preventing Biden from receiving security/intelligence briefings, which is what Biden also did to Trump (who was/is obviously a far greater risk to national security, hence the reason Biden did it).

Announcement of an HD-2D remake of Chrono Trigger during the Switch 2 Direct would probably have me weeping tears of joy.

Probably not in the true spirit of these things, but I’d swap Wii with GameCube, and 3DS with DS, for back compatibility reasons. I’d then swap SNES with NES, for personal preference.

Well, that’s definitely a house of, er, “contrasts”…

Out of interest, what prompted you to try it again? Generally if I’ve had something meh, I’ll tend to steer clear of having it a second time.

If it has AoE, make it turn based again, like the DS AoE: Age of Kings!

Oh god, how I long for those days. Yes, the Tories were in power, but things actually felt positive. Last time I was really proud of my country.

Is that not just Simon Pegg in character?

If I were to guess, I’d say it’s not “fully” compatible, in that it requires original Switch Joycon. Hopefully they can be used with OG Switch games on Switch 2.

For some awful reason, it’s not getting a physical release on Xbox.

I’d really hope it isn’t. Not that I don’t want to know what they’re doing, but clearly anything they talk about is going to be years away (likely next console gen), and I don’t think really premature announcements help devs or their audience.

Brit here: yup.

That may be the case, but there’s also the possibility that gacha mechanics and loot boxes etc may have such a repellent effect that they get driven away from gaming altogether.

I love that there’s a copy of YDKJ there. I had the British version (sadly they only made one), and my school friends and I played the hell out of it in the late 90s.

It’s very, very rare that I use the eshop on the Switch itself these days. Usually I’ll follow a link from @dekudeals.bsky.social and buy on my phone. It definitely needs some serious TLC with Switch 2. And please, please, please, @nintendousa.bsky.social, give us the option to gift games!

No arguments here - I consider an essential for any console gamer.

Dreamcast is a good name, but it’s not even the best name for the Dreamcast! Come on - you know that Katana was better!

Yeah - there’s a lot of text to sit through at the beginning, and I don’t think you can even skip it on the second playthrough on its original release. Any particular reason for going with the PS2 version, rather than one of the newer ones?

If you like Zelda games (particularly the 3D ones up to Skyward Sword), then it’s an absolute no-brainer. Minor warning - there is a lot of text to get through at the beginning.

It’s a cracking soundtrack. The first one I ever imported the CDs for.

All of them? That’s some serious gaming time. Good on you, sir!
