The whole ratings thing (and the way the NBA works) just seems to come from a different time. I haven’t had cable for years and pay for NBA League Pass, which means I can’t watch a lot of games live, which is so annoying. Makes me want to dump league pass and pirate.

The only one of those options I remotely like is the last one. I might be good with trading for Giannis depending on the trade package, but I don’t like most of the ones I’ve seen out there.

You have to respect a writer who will put such out-of-the-box thinking out into the world for everyone to see. The truth is that 5 years after a draft, a “redraft” usually looks nothing like the original, so it’s refreshing to see someone get away from the groupthink that dominates NBA draft talk.

Why on earth are they doing a public prayer in government building, anyway?

Miles Turner has been rumoured to be trade since before I was born. And I’m much older than him.

The big question so,done should ask Musk is, “then why did you continue to support him all this time?”

Jamaica trying to make a super team. First Norman Powell, then the Thompson twins. Now Scottie. Canada should be worried.

Ya, but how many games has he won SINCE they lost in the playoffs? Zero.

I honestly didn’t even remember Valanciunas was traded to the Kings.

Because pairing DeRozan’s inability to stretch the floor with Giannis isn’t a recipe for disaster?

The takeaway here is that if you’re hired as an NBA head coach, rent, don’t buy.

Gaza has to be considered a separate country for there to be an invasion. Israel does not consider Gaza to be a separate country, and in fact considers it part of Israel, so how is that an invasion?

This was the series I most wanted to see for this exact reason. The people who are complaining about this Finals apparently aren;t interested in watching great basketball. \

Don’t bother trying to read the alien language from the movie Arrival. It doesn’t work. Stupid movie lied to us.

Time being linear can be so annoying sometimes. Can I not just know who the Raptors will draft now?

I once had a guy roll down his window and start yelling at me - in front of his kids - when I just just looked at him and shook my head, after it was obvious he had been looking at his phone while driving and then was doing it at a red light.

It depends on who’s available. If someone falls, then obviously take them. I’d also be good with trading up, if they can. The problem with trading down is it too often means you’re just getting worse players.

I remember there were discussions about whether he could be a big point guard when he entered the league. Unfortunately he couldn’t handle the ball well enough to play PG and was never able to shoot consistently enough to play SG.

To a lot of old school fans (not including myself) watching people shoot free throws while the game is stopped after one player isolates and the others stand around is more entertaining than watching them shoot threes in game after lots of ball movement.

Indiana was a perfect partner for a trade because they had a whole bunch of young players, including a couple of Canadians, the Pacers might be willing to give up for an All Star level talent who was already the 2nd best player on a Championship team. In the end, they got Bruce Brown. 🙄

Thanks. I thought the moonlight would ruin the shot but it lit up the mountains perfectly and you could still see the stars. Wish the Milky Way was there, but oh well.

It was the prototypical Pascal Siakam game. He ran the floor, scored a ton, made some nice passes and then in the last 2 minutes forced some bad shots and missed. I’m glad he played well, but watching him struggle at the end brought back a lot of bad memories.

Of course, Tatum will be injured next year, Giannis possibly on a West team, and Wemby will make it if healthy enough, so it’ll probably go back next year.

I haven’t had cable in years. What pisses me off is I pay a good amount of money for @nba league pass yet I can’t watch live games. Even worse, it used to be I could watch right after the game ended, now it’s three hour later. So basically he next day. Makes me want to pirate.

Derrick White being the only player under 6’8 on the list of best paint defenders is absolutely hilarious and makes you wonder how he didn’t make an All Defensive team. Also, my guess is he and Tatum are the only untouchable Celtics right now.
