20 years or so ago, we did a road trip from Ontario to Nova Scotia. We had booked in old Quebec City and NS, but thought it would be easy to drive and stop/stay wherever we happened to be in between.
Hahaha
Ended up with the help of NB Info at the Algonquin. WOW. Best stay ever! Stayed 2 nights.

If you suffer from migraine, don’t stop trying to find relief. Change doctors if necessary. Over years I took many different types and brands of medication with limited success. It was horrible.
And then, finally, I found the med that worked. Can’t imagine how my life would have been without it.

Unfortunately, the US president is more interested in making his own money, which he hopes to do within Russia.
He has no personal incentive to make Putin lose money.
It’s all about greed. 💰

Gorgeous!
I have similar peonies not yet in bloom. Always have lots for Father’s Day, so fingers crossed. The ants 🐜 are hard at work.

Will gladly take a shot!
I love gardening my wooded property or hiking the Bruce Trail, but after multiple bites, I wear long sleeved shirts, pants tucked into socks, spray all over and do a tick check when done.
Which means every outing is a chore, so I’m not outside as often as I would like.

Great idea. I was a Sea Cadet through high school, then did a summer in the Reserves before university.
Loved every minute of it.
I think I would have joined the regular military had it been pitched to me as an alternative or a complement to higher education.

Having watched what’s happening to Ukraine, it’s clear that old equipment, and training aren’t up to today’s warfare.
We need to invest in cutting edge technology, education, AI, etc.
Is that the most important investment right now? If not today, we might not be a sovereign country tomorrow.

Pure evil.
It’s so frustrating to know that one man (American ) can stop this but won’t. And another man (Russian) will never stop this.
Yet we all hope and pray that one or both of them will change their mind.

“Brilliant” !
I hope you are right about this being an inflection point. Like you, I remain optimistic about an end to this horrible war.

I learn more and more about oil, pipelines and how it all works (or doesn’t work) every day!

Immediately I remember that from my childhood!
But my central vac and handheld Dyson don’t make that smell.
Are kids today missing out??
Hmmm 🤔

We stopped travelling to the US after his first election. It wasn’t a temporary decision, and we see no need to alter it. It’s a huge world.
Same for our grocery choices. We found Canadian brands that we like, and will keep buying. Where we haven’t yet, we keep an eye out for new possibilities.

An excellent video on pipelines including the one the Liberals bought and completed. I learned alot. It's complicated but Kellerman really simplifies it. Worth a listen. #ABPolitics #Cdnpoli

I don’t normally invest 25 minutes of time to a video, but this was time well spent!
Very complicated, but I feel that I could now have an informed conversation about it.
Interesting to learn about the clauses in the earlier free trade deals and their removal in CUSMA. So smart!
Thanks for sharing👍

Zelenskyy will need to have some sort of code to let the European leaders know if he’s under duress or not after his 1:1 call with Trump.
He should not be pressured by Trump into agreeing to anything that isn’t in the best interests of Ukraine, its citizens, and the rest of democratic Europe.

Thought provoking talk. What I kept thinking as I listened, was, ok, what can I personally do to safeguard my data and stop the coup?
Should I delete Facebook, instagram, X, Bluesky, my journaling app, my iCloud storage, and Google Docs???
And then what?
What can I do that will make a difference?

It’s actually to the Liberal advantage that the Conservative platform came out after the early voting weekend.
Now you can do more of this messaging to show Canadians how, once you get past the surface, that this platform is NOT going to be good for them.
Charts with direct comparisons will help.

I’ve followed @auschwitzmemorial.bsky.social for years. And sometimes I would think the holocaust was long ago, and humanity would never commit such atrocities again.
But now I see what the US government is doing with El Salvador, and these posts are that much more relevant today.
Pay attention.

It is time for the world to fully accept that the American leadership (Biden or Trump) will NOT end this horrific war. They are making way too much money off of it.
Europe must either ACT or admit defeat. It is morally reprehensible to continue to offer nothing but weapons and kind words. HELP THEM

Promises promises promises.
The world could have helped Ukraine to end this war from the very beginning. But, instead, we all held our breath and wished and hoped for Putin to back down.
People being murdered on the whims of one evil man.
This is on all of us.
