All scammers do is copy what banks do - call customers asking to confirm birthdays etc. There’s no way to tell if they’re real so it’s easy to con non cynical people. If banks need to speak to you they should ask you to call back on the phone no. on your card & employ more staff so you get through.

Saw this a couple of days ago. The comments are interesting, no one seems to know who to believe and there’s lots of anxiety about giving the slightest reason for the Mumps to call a national emergency.
