I can’t believe there’s an entire one-hour documentary on the More Cowbell sketch. It was pretty good.

I loved this show and it got me teary a few times. So much beautiful music I’ve never heard before. Larson died in 1995; he’d be 65 today. What would he think about the past 30 years, and what would he have written in that time? How would he have evolved as a composer? Such a loss.

Mr Garcia, I have drafted an appropriate response for you. You're welcome.

So I’ve started Newhart, and already Larry, Darryl, and Darryl have shown up in the second episode - fully fleshed-out, with exactly the clothing and mannerisms they’ll have for eight seasons.

Sitting in the theater before the show and they’re playing “He’s a Rebel” and I just learned that @hitormiss.org has never heard this song before youtu.be/G_SXJ18EkNw?...

I hate the fact that it took me a moment to figure out if this was real or not

Sarah Snook and Sadie Sink will be performing in theaters across the street from each other, and I feel like some wordplay is appropriate but I can’t think of any

If I had a band or a label, I would do a punk cover of "No More Kings" from Schoolhouse Rock. And then I would gather a bunch of people to write a whole album of next-generation Schoolhouse Rock songs, with songs about Social Security and Medicaid and NOAA. I am not kidding in the least.

Back in summer 2004, I met @hitormiss.org's mom & her two friends for the first time when they came to visit NYC. One afternoon we're all walking down Fifth Avenue right past Trump Tower. At that exact moment, you-know-who walks out of the building & into a waiting limo. I still think about it.

Oh wow. I loved this book, and although opera often isn't my cup of tea I might need to see this.

I'm having a great Learned League season so far

After seven months I've finished the six seasons of The Bob Newhart Show. In the last couple of years I've watched 7 seasons of Mary Tyler Moore, 3+ seasons of Rhoda, 6 seasons of Bob Newhart... that's nearly 400 episodes of 1970s MTM-produced shows. Meow. Next up is Newhart.

I'm still amazed that Jack Nicholson appeared on the #SNL50 special last night.

David Tennant at last night's BAFTAs (It's still weird to me that there's a British awards ceremony for mostly American films) youtu.be/uXdWCVKbLF4?...

This is the first time Meryl Streep has ever appeared on SNL. That her character is referring to her nether region as an "Into the Woods situation" is just bonus. #SNL50

I am happy I live in a world where Paul McCartney is still alive and performing. #snl50

Next year is NBC’s 100th anniversary. I wonder what they have planned? Their 60th anniversary special was a big part of my childhood introduction to TV history. They also did a 90th anniversary special.
