I actually prefer incremental improvement. Watershed moments aren't real.

That's some cringe shit. Just do your thing and don't get into arguments on the internet about how cool you are.

Debatable if he actually has it, but maybe technically he has a Master's of Public Policy from Harvard.

Spend time building up your local community. You know the news is going to get worse. Get ahead of the news by preparing for the worst

Fortunately, the longshoreman union is legitimately more powerful than Bukele.

Facts are dead, where have you been?

This is great. Harvard should also do more if/when things continue: They should revoke the degrees from the following people in the Trump administration: Hegseth, RFK Jr, Makary, Oz, Phelan, Sauer, and I'm sure others.

Himmler complained he needed more trains because transporting people to camps was going too slowly. 1/3 of the murders by Nazis were done on the spot because that was the only realistic way to get it done.

You're both right. Flying 50-100 people at a time to El Salvador doesn't make a real impact. But also all of those flights need to be stopped.

Unfortunately, terror campaigns work. March border encounters were down 90% compared to January. People are scared to come to the US, legally or otherwise. And no one blames them. This leads to what we've seen: brown citizens get abused by ICE because they're the only ones left.

What I've learned from Pantheon is that all technology centers should be based in Scandinavia.

Projection as usual. We haven't seen the start of the deaths MAGA are going to cause.

We wouldn't be in this mess if Dark Brandon was real.

At least 30% of Americans agree with it. That's the problem to solve after we deal with the current situation.

There are some old CIA guys that can be brought out of retirement for this.

Mitch McConnell, seen here watching a shelter dog get passed over for adoption.... The ongoing "seen here" gag will always be a favorite of mine.

They wanna be cool like Teddy but fail to understand what made Teddy Roosevelt cool. Such as, protecting National Parks, listening to all parties, and being interested in new science.

I agree. None of this makes sense. Welcome to the new world era. You can enjoy your Scottish Scotch whiskey, or you can help all us die in dignity. Or hopefully better than that. Hopefully nothing on your Sunday is better than fighting fascism, or else I'm totally gonna get Churchill on ur ass

To reiterate: I'm not debating you. I'm presenting the situation we Americans have to deal with at a dumber level every fucking day. I'm tired. I want you on my side. But if you can't help me then I'm going to tell Kansas we'll bomb you before Adam. Because I guess that works.

Hollywood has made fancy degrees a sign of an evil person. Even in real life, having degrees outside of STEM makes a DEI or whatever belief. What has real life done to prove that higher education makes people's lives better? That is the dumb debate. That is the Q I want from the UK.
comment in response to post
What I have seen is that despite the preponderance of degrees in government, the value of government on the CV have significantly decreased. This started even before Brexit. My whole point is that no one in your island values your contribution. Please, true me 100% wrong.
comment in response to post
Hollywood has always rooted for the underdog. It always like the system that destroys the rooted system. The British Peerage and Fancy Doity system needs to truly prove themselves. Brexit proved that Business As Usual is not real. Let AI work for you.

I agree in general. What I'm saying as an extension is that if "AI" (regardless of what it actually is) improves the average Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch life more compared to the average Peerage Sir System...Then yes it should die.

It's not bizarre. Supremacists are only in power when they convince others that they have a natural power, but they've slept/convinced to give up the power because others have take control through "unnatural powers". They all share the same beliefs. None of them actually care about a god.

Somewhere down the line is steel. The current infrastructure relies on steel to provide. If you want food or medicine or energy then you need to include steel in your plans. Plastics too.
comment in response to post
If we all agree food is a national security issue and that the government should make sure there's enough food to keep people alive in emergency, that's not a debate, right? Energy is the next important value. Or maybe medicine, depending on your belief system.

Tell us what you know now then? You didn't state what was known after you shut it down. The last thing you said was that it was/felt like the 2015 Paris attacks. This thing wasn't anywhere close to what happened a decade ago.

If you plan on bringing drugs and/or firearms into the US, DM me first.

Maybe if you didn't shut down comments people would be able to give you information. It's far more likely this is connected to the anger from the 2023 railway disaster than anything else. Going to screenshot my comment for prosperity.

Wow. Can't tell if this is because of American abundance or Americans prudeness, but we call any bathing from a sink a "whore bath (sometimes shower)".

For centuries, centers of education have made the claim that people are better for (XYZ) after spending time there. Now it's time to back that shit up. If an AI system can beat Oxford then not even being a network of human nepotism is a good enough reason to support Unis.

What's interesting is that "too intense" means being too focused on logic and words. No one ever says someone is "too intense" when they cry or are angry about an issue.
comment in response to post
Political agendas (e.g. everything this year) and foreign influence (i.e. Chinese research centers) have caused errors in science for awhile. AI doesn't solve anything, but it's not the biggest issue. To pretend otherwise is to ignore science.

If you never think about things then yeah, no one ever thought an important thing was important. I like getting up in time to catch European news because it makes me feel better about how stupid American news is.

Representative democracy is better than direct democracy. The average person doesn't understand Craigslist trade. Much less international trade. Listening more to direct democracy polls is bad because most people trend towards authoritarian beliefs.
comment in response to post
Proof that people don't learn after hugging the stove. Despite Brexit occuring in the lifetime of everyone able to speak English and all proof showing Brexit having a negative impact on trade, polls show that not 100%, or even 90%, of people don't think trade with EU is a good thing.
