Hi, thanks for your interest! Itā€™s actually my own glaze. The look is primarily due to the speckled buff clay I used. You might be able to achieve a similar effect with a matte, semi-transparent commercial glaze on buff clay. Hope that helps!

Maybe you can fire the individual pieces in a saggar and then assemble them afterward. This can create beautiful effects because the separate shards will have different textures and colors.

I totally get thatā€”trimming days are always the most exhausting! Throwing goes so much faster in comparison. I absolutely love the elegant simplicity of your formsā€”theyā€™re just beautiful!

Ich liebe den sanften Farbton und die schlichte Form šŸ©µ

You really need to put a warning on your photosā€”itā€™s 6:45 on a Saturday, and I have to physically pin myself to the bed to keep from running to the studio! So incredibly inspiring and absolutely stunning!

I always find it so exciting to get a glimpse into the creative process! Iā€™m just so curiousā€”if I could, Iā€™d secretly watch every step like a little fly on the wall!

Maybe you could mix themā€”reclaim in the lower half, blending into obsidian towards the top, adorned with your fantastic patterns. I would absolutely love to see that!

Definitely! Iā€™ll keep sharing the processā€”hopefully it makes the 200 test tiles feel a bit less overwhelming. By the way, Iā€™d love to see some of your terra sigilata tests too when youā€™re ready to share šŸ©µ

Looks like a bisque buffetā€”everythingā€™s packed in, but Iā€™m not sure if thereā€™s room for dessert!

Ha, looks like theyā€™re relatives of my cupsā€”mine always seem to find a way to avoid the handle too.
