Hey, don't be like that about Sam, it's much more brain requiring than it may make everyone think!
But yes, I am also not a fan of teleporting-in enemies, at least in those games, and while I was ultimately able to enjoy DOOM by the end of it, Eternal was dropped very quickly.

For once, I have someone I could agree with.
I never could enjoy HL2 really, even back in the day, it was just so Ｂｏｒｉｎｇ, especially compared to HL1. At least Episodes gradually made it better, with Ep2 being pretty cool, but then, well, the drought happened.

Yeah nah, it was primarily Beth's fault.
But, tbh, nothing could've saved it, as the genre is cursed, I am sure that even if it was advertised right it would fail.
I may be just pessimistic about it, but I truly believe that the majority just can't appreciate imsims for what they truly are.
