b. making yourself public enemy number 1 on day 1 seems like a net negative, even if your plan did technically work.
I mean, maybe people like Doctor Will or George can pull it off, but I don't see Nash manage that, nor does he have the Kirby charms to play the dominant game, I believe.

I mean, I'm joking, but I was surprised not to hear the take that it's just an idol but worse.
My actual beef with this advantage was that I really didn't like taking advantage of people wanting to do a nice thing, and it can make people not willing to do nice things in the future.

I also suspect that Charlotte had better chances without recruiting and might have not done so if she had a choice. And if that ends up screwing her game it feels, again,unearned.
All in all, does this recruitment make better TV? probably. But it also leaves a taste of "what are we even doing here"

If Charlotte wins it was probably earned but still feels weird with production interfering for the traitors like that.
If the faithfuls win it probably means that Charlotte threw Freddie under the bus and he threw her in return, which again feels unearned.

Anyway, if they didn't recruit, the traitor has a fair chance, the faithfuls have a fair chance, and the win will feel earned either way.
Instead, having a new traitor now means that if Freddie wins it doesn't feel earned (the faithfuls had no time to see him traitoring).

and at this point if they vote her out and have final 5 faithfuls, I say let them. It will still be fun watching them banish each other, not knowing that all traitors are already gone, and the chance of that happening is super slim anyway.
