His work after the myth of Sisyphus, like the Plague and the Rebel, dealt much more specifically with how to live a good moral life. I think it's important to remember he died before he finished much of his planned work.

This is a critical point. For 20+ years most "investment" in this country has gone to speculating on real estate and driving up the price of homes, rather than doing anything productive.
