Mysticism is a school of magic used by healers, embalmers and priests conducting funerary rites.

The other animal-headed gods I’ve painted are the sun and the harvest. One of the reasons I made Pta-Wret my next piece was to add a man to this trio, as the Sun is non binary and the Harvest is a woman

I actually have these pieces from 2017 and 2020, when I used to think of the Red Desert as primarily an elephant worshiping culture. The idea of a two headed elephant was visible in the priestess’s headdress, and there’s elephant motifs all throughout the designs

Pta-Wret is invoked by all peoples and cultures of this world, but is most predominantly worshipped in the Red Desert. A setting I’ve illustrated a few times in the background of other pieces. There’s a very strong ancient Egyptian look to this setting, hence Pta-Wret’s canopic jars and jewellery
