the world is ending and Mike White decided what we needed is some White Lotus with a little sprinkle of incest 😩

Who else sad until they see the littlest guy (ie: me)?

thought I'd be silly and made my son's lunch in the shape of the sun with little orange slice sun rays and when I gave it to him I said "here's a sun lunch! because you're my son!" and he took one look at it and said "I want a tiger lunch"

*starting a novel voice* ah, crap

yesterday my toddler said he wanted roast duck for dinner and when I said we didn't have any he looked really sad, found his mom, and told her all pouty "we're all out of roast duck"

sometimes I wonder if my lactose sensitivity is the source of my poetry because my god do I yearn (for cheese)

Just wanted to shout out that there's a piece in this P&W talking about hurricane Helene's impact on the literary community here in WNC. The writer interviewed me about Poets for Appalachia for it, and lots of other folks -- bookstore owners, the Punch Bucket Lit reading & nonprofit peeps, & more.

Love this! Hello it is me, the Poet Laureate of the Kid Jump Place, with my one essay about how I learned to write in little stolen moments, and how most of the people around me probably thought I was just some asshole, and how I managed to write a few books that way. themillions.com/2018/07/baby...

haven't shared this perfect poem on here yet: "Suggested Donation" by Heather Christle: "...there’s no difference between flying and thinking you’re flying until you land."

thinking about that story where a writer (I forget who) was asked how to get pub’d in the New Yorker and they said “you can’t get published in the New Yorker,” and how this is true because “get published in the New Yorker” is ruinous for most aesthetics, but also, you’ll likely be dust b4 they reply
