Signed Up! I couldn't decide if I were family or friend, so I cowarded ( bad grammar on purpose, take that AI! ) it out and picked "Bluesky" heh! Hey, speaking of such, there doesn't seem to be a link around to @frigidpigeon.com? Is this the right one?

Some days, just being able to settle down to work is just the self care we need. Its a good reminder to always have good work for tomorrow on your mind. <3

@davidbrin.bsky.social as it turns out, I'm very happy that I have a readable copy of Sundiver again! And the introduction called out Practice Effect, which I need to find next! Thanks again!

Purchased! Actually, I noticed seven books in that series were available for $20,so I repurchased them all. Thanks so much!

Intriguing. I think I'll try once per month starting in April, just so I have time to think about it.

It feels silly, but I am reacting to your blog in quite the convivial manner. Thanks for letting us know of the skip, and thanks for all that you have added, and continue to add, to my self care!

I know this doesn't help, but I find the idea of reverse dice to be intriguing. . . Mirror universe? Merlin, traveling backwards in time? Seems like there should be something fun to do with that. . .

These are good days to reach out to folks. Some times, we don't realize that we're in need. Thanks for being there and creating beauty Raven, errr, Runesael :) Of course, next month is also good days. There is no especial limit!

I need more friends -- Or you need to stop making so much sense, I feel like I end up over liking your posts, after all, haven't even seen each other for years!

I don't spend much time, at a time, on Bluesky but I was surprised on recent visit that two pretty young things had followed me in the space of the 10 minute visit. . . It's fun to use the block hammer :)

Huh, I've been feeling the same way. Going down to PA to visit some old friends in Selinsgrove over next weekend. Hope that helps me. Are you still doing art for yourself?

I hope this is ok, there are a lot of pets that need help too, and this charity seems to well focused on the LA fires: www.caninerescue.club/donate

Mom pushed toast for us, but that can seem like a lot of work some times. Have you tried a toast sandwich? Sounds strange, if you butter and salt/pepper a slice of toast and eat it between two slices of untoasted bread, it's very comforting some how. . .

We ran across a study some where that suggested that the Placebo effect was real, even if you know you are taking a Placebo or "granny cure" for illness. I proscribe hot tea and saltine crackers. Feel better soon!

I'm taking my text (That's what preachers say, isn't it?) from the Desiderata this year. "Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here." Your words strike a strong chord!

And, as long as I'm being a grumpy old man. . . Can we stop using references from the hate crew in our hypothetical examples? If you need a villain, why not Smaug? Does it have to be from an author that uses their fame to hate? (just an example there. . . YMMV )

I ran across someone who said their self care routine was to clean the kitchen. . . I've never been more intrigued!

Do you regularly show in Harrisonburg? Rusty and I pass down that way at least once per year. . .

Having read a lot of the Liad novels, I find myself unsure of the melanti (do I give my name, asl? etc?,) but I'm here to lift my spirits. I'm also grateful 🎅

Its still dragging on (Ok, I was tired) but it's The Case Files of Aldicus Vescard by Mark William Chase. I may check to see if he has any other stuff in a different world setting. . .
