"protection of federal property"? They're f'king mall cops now?

I'm more concerned with Dems saying "we need to get our own Joe Rogan and oligarchs"

Protests are also smaller today because POC don't want to go unless their immigration status is squeaky clean because the protests this weekend were about ICE raids. (and ICE may hang around even those No Kings protests or the anti-Tesla protests)

That was before the Powell Memorandum and states making school an economic choice rather than something you could just "do" after HS on the off chance that education would improve you and society (it's a fair bet that it will). Now people are paying for college and don't have the time to protest.

Fair point. Hippie is pejorative among the same group of people that resent protests even today. Personally I've always seen protest as a moral duty, especially in a country as messed up as this one.

This is this generation's Uncle Walt telling America that Vietnam is unwinnable --- the man is spitting facts.
But hey, now we know which side ABC is on

well, step 3 should maybe say: *that* racism has gone into the closet and metastasized into two additional flavors of racism.

'strue. I thought civil rights protests were popular. Nope. Vietnam war protestors? Ditto. They were called hippies. Even Iraq protests in the early oughts got relatively little press coverage and at the end of the day Bush (the idiot!) said "they're misinformed" and invaded anyway with Dem support

Most corporations are on the side of fascism. Not all of them, sure, but obviously ABC sides with fascism.

And they weren't going after illegal aliens in Germany, they were going after people that looked like Anne Frank, just like now they're not looking for undocumented Irish or English immigrants. The ones they're taking are mostly Latinos.

Fascism is here now, even Roberts knows that's what he's been doing

Sorry, what legislation created DOGE? It seems totally extragovernmental and even the courts should be routing them out

and if he put $250M+ into trump's election...in what way is he not completely endorsing whatever he's accusing trump of doing?

"A" representative from SV. Zoe Lofgren is a better friend of the worker as was Mike Honda, Ro's predecessor.

Why did they still have such a department? Feels like a trivial DOGE cut on day 1

Somehow....the Dems will keep this loser but vote out Hogg. One knows how to bring the fight to the GOP, the other...gives interviews like this.

Nobody gives a s*** about domestic terrorism, Adam. Maybe less so today, but it's never been a priority.

yeah, given this SCOTUS' politics, I wouldn't doubt they bring it back to kick democracy even harder in the nuts

This should be an easy issue for Democrats to run on. "we think you shouldn't go into debt for education or healthcare". Instead they fight for the favor of oligarchs

The dems lose because they're always on their back foot. Healthcare should be universal and free at the point of use. Same with education. Minimum wage should be a living wage, just as it was back in the 1930s. We should work as hard to protect voting rights as gun rights. These are simple issues.

No f'ing s***. America? These people are ghouls, just come out and say you're for more people having healthcare. Say you like education and will do anything to make sure that kids can get an education without being strapped with debt through their child bearing years! It is not that hard, Dems!!!

That asshat should be up for re-election in 2026 if my math is right. Iowa, you have GOT to have a better person than this. She HATES you and wants you to die of treatable illness because you're not rich. She's just not into you.

Sorry, no, RFK is a shit human being who pontificates about healthcare policy while disclaiming any knowledge on the topic. The fact that he has been a heroin addict has nothing to do with it but it's a clear sign of how utterly un-self-aware he is and why he shouldn't have been considered for hhs
