Yeah but this requires having a server I believe? Not a solution for static sites... I could take this code and host it on replit or something likely with a little effort but feels like someone should have a hosted solution?

Actually, update. A potentially easier way is to navigate to:
chrome://extensions/
You'll see a banner saying Quotebacks has been disabled, would you like to remove or keep. Press keep!
Then Quotebacks will show up in your list of extensions (disabled) where you can click to re-enable it.

For anyone following along at home I updated the GitHub desktop app and it suddenly worked 🤷
