I'm not a doctor, but I suspect that in the situation where a patient is in a coma, a binary description of "sex" is unlikely to be relevant to their care. What's likely to be relevant are the constellation of factors that we generally associate with sex, but which are individually distinguishable.

A decent chunk of the US economy is just unfairly incarcerating Black people and then charging them. Usually, Black folk get caught up during traffic stops. This is why we get pulled over so much more often than white people.🤯 During covid, so many people stopped driving, the gravy train stopped.
