I actually have no YT ins, but I left my short-lived career in sports journalism to, ironically, lead comms for a civil engineering department. It's a pretty great dream, not going to lie (I've since moved on to equally, delightfully nerdy roles). The need for freelance support is always there!

Esme Morgan says she told Heather Stainbrook "let's do our cats proud!" before the game (Morgan adopted a kitten, Biscuit, after the team brought animals from a local shelter to training).
She also taught Ashley Hatch & Aubrey Kingsbury to griddy? A lot going on here! #NWSL

I think all of MLBtv is down, so maybe they somehow worked out a blackout for the first game? Seems like a ripoff though, especially for radio, which never was impacted by TV networks before.

I almost canceled my radio sub last year because of all the headaches but it seemed like they got things sorted at the end of the season. Now I'm thrilled that, on Day 1, I'm back to the perpetual loop of hold music lol.
In a world w/ so much going wrong, I just want to hear Suzyn's sass!

Nope, I literally had a calendar reminder set to listen to this game while working. It's Day 1 and there's only 1 game right now, how is it not working? lol

My point was meant to be that, if you're going to stand up and declare that you're leading a Christian prayer, Scott's was a direct opposite of what was put on display at the NASCAR race. But you are 100% correct, both isolated anyone who doesn't share the same faith beliefs and that just stinks.

Yeah, I actually do agree with you there, too. (In full transparency, I'm a Christian, but it did make me cringe that it omitted folks whose beliefs don't align with his – which is extra tough given that that likely includes victims' families & friends).

In a world full of Harrison Butkers, be a Chris Kluwe.
Fantastic work.
