I'm not because ChatGPT content is so difficult to read. People save themselves that unpleasant task and assume everything went to plan like Dr. Evil in Austin Powers.

For John F. Kennedy. As we know, there is a dearth of research, writing, and video dedicated to this obscure historic figure. 😏

Students asked the JFK-bot what the New Frontier was. There are a plethora of ways students can learn that without using an LLM to mimic a person.

I am not an education expert or a parent but my general take is that tech in schools should be handled very thoughtfully and responsibly, and sadly, we are seeing a lot of pressure to use tech to automate education (and to constantly surveill) poorer kids in particular because it’s cheaper

not to tie everything back to AI but my armchair theory is that at the farmer's market, people don't just want food from the source, they want some kind of embodied knowledge, and farmers/bakers/artisans have that in spades. better than getting it from Google/ChatGPT/some online random.

It important to know the names of women researchers who've been studying, speaking & writing about dangers of AI. Dr Timnit Gebru, Dr Rumman Chowdhury, Dr Safiya Noble, Dr Seeta Peña Gangadharan, Dr Buolamwini And many many more in/outside academia. Free link: archive.ph/2023.11.22-1... 👑

When I say deeply unpopular, I'm referring to the dislike which is pretty widespread. Look at the love the Procreate CEO received when he said, "I f---ing hate AI." www.theverge.com/2024/8/19/24...

Harris had 6 million fewer voters than Biden. I think it's safe to say that none of them, nor generative AI, is widely loved.

Maybe. I don't see how something that depresses purchasing decisions when mentioned is popular. I have two more sources for you. arstechnica.com/tech-policy/... theconversation.com/knowing-less...
