Time flies when you are treating infective endocarditis, getting your patients living w/ HIV on LA-ARV, & trying to understand syphilis… Huge thanks to the #IDSky & former #IDTwitter folks who have made ID a welcoming space to learn & succeed!

Takeaways on communication: 1. Know your audience 2. It’s okay to say you don’t know, either to the media or to “Aunt Judy” 3. Listen 4. Be a resource 5. Know where your patients get their information

Messaging them directly is a teaching moment. You’re not criticizing in public so long as they don’t follow you on @bsky.app

Forming a union allows for us to have a seat at the table. The burnout in healthcare workers from COVID-19 is why we need to focus on our wellbeing as trainees. For us to have long fulfilling careers taking care of our patients, we cannot afford to burn ourselves out in our training.

Yup… what are your bullet points this week? 1. Saw patients 2. Documented patient care to ensure my VA receives appropriate funding for care delivered 3. Followed up on their labs. 4. Spent time teaching the next generation of physicians 5. Reflected & came up with 4 bullet points This is wild…

It’s worked well for me! I’ve had mine on an isolated post in the middle of my yard. I use a silicone lubricant to prevent the squirrels getting to it
