MLS and USSF have got to fix their officiating problem. Dangerous tackle resulting in a stretcher that should have been an easy red tonight in the FC II game only shown a yellow. The guy who showed a yellow is the 4th official for tomorrow’s MLS match.

If you notice a change in tomorrow’s pre-kickoff ceremonies, please note it is at the mandate of Major League Soccer, and not Austin FC. Continuing the proud tradition of a league that doesn’t appear to actually understand why people enjoy the sport.

The unscheduled rapid disassembly of a spacecraft under the oversight of a wildly delusional idiot: temporarily dangerous to the Caribbean. The unscheduled rapid disassembly of the world’s most important government under the oversight of the same wildly delusional idiot: generational disaster.

The LA Galaxy are in their 2023 Austin FC Era it seems.

The song of the day here in Austin for anyone who has ventured outside:

Sometimes you win the games you deserve to draw (2024 @ Portland) and lose the games you deserve to draw (2025 @ Portland). Football is a sport of balance, annoyingly.

An embarrassing dereliction of duty and an abandonment of democratic principles is really the only way to describe the Trump/Vance treatment of Zelenskyy. Slava Ukraini.

Could someone tell the camera operator at Snapdragon to ZOOM OUT A LITTLE? I’d like to watch the game a little bit.

For those special people who insist the Leagues Cup is a vitally important tournament, you can now show your dedication to “higher level soccer” by paying a minimum of $87 to watch Portland play Club America in Austin.

found the good one.

vibes are back.

Galaxy losing to an expansion club at home after a record-setting year is quite the upset and has probably never happened before. Do not look up the results of the last expansion club’s inaugural match.

Happy Sunday to all of Austin, especially everyone who worked on and/or assisted with last night’s Tifo. And Osman Bukari. Happy Sunday to him as well.

It is extraordinarily difficult for me to believe that Chris Penso did not award a yellow card for the deliberate handball at the end of the match there. The ball was a foot over his head, he jumped up, attempted to grab it, and it struck his hand. A truly baffling no-call.

Before the first match of every season, I think back to those who said top flight soccer wouldn’t work in ATX. For whatever reason. They were the wrongest of wrong. Austin FC is more than soccer. It’s the family I never knew I wanted, but can’t imagine living without. Season five, let’s do this.

By rule, Justin Trudeau is now President of the United States. I’ll allow it.

As we open the MLS season this week, a kind reminder to tell your local Eurosnob who insists the league could easily play the FIFA calendar to go jump in a frozen lake.

The Bill Aleshire Memorial Rapid Lines are almost open! (He’s not dead, he just wants to kill public transit)

Never a doubt.

I guess we won’t need to worry about egg prices as the nuclear fallout settles all around us.

No, slapping on your hazards does not magically turn a bike lane into a parking spot.

You cannot call a group of broadcasters a “world class” group without Adrian Healey.

Everton celebrating a famous draw in their last derby at Goodison, which puts Liverpool 7 points clear of 2nd place Arsenal and maintains the 30 point gap over 15th place Everton. One city, two entirely different planes of existence.
