I read it as reminder that authoritarianism isn't inevitable, opposition can win, and not to fall into the trap of thinking otherwise.

The house always wins.
Even if it takes truckloads of drugs, sets itself on fire and flails around with a chainsaw for a while.

Hey, you are right, wiping out large chunk of the city is unlikely. Instead, maybe if the fire spreads it only take out a building or two before it's put out. That's also bad.

Either way, seems like a stupid move setting battery fires in a region so recently ravaged by and prone to wildfires.
Hope the LA authorities (not feds) put a stop to that bullshit quick.

I don't know how anyone looks at Musk over the past two years then tries to shame people for not contributing to his social network, which he now uses as his personal propaganda tool. He's a bad actor.
No one should be encouraging anyone to be on that site, period.

Like... just say X is a problem, but the more immediate priority to me as a legislator is Y.
Don't tell people to just ignore X by calling it a distraction

And every pol/pundit chooses different things to call the distraction and the true threat. It's disorienting and just muddles everything.

Games have been $50 since the 80's and the original NES days. I'm surprised prices stayed that way for so long.
