Top notch Leopards/faces moment here from the managing director of Thiel Capital and the person who coined the term "Intellectual Dark Web." Yeah, so weird how much antisemitism there is on Musk's platform...real head scratcher there, my dude.

You can think of the latest round of revisions in the IMF forecasts as an evaluation of who is likely to suffer most from the Trump tariffs. The biggest loser is Mexico, followed by the United States. China's economy will suffer, but not as much. And the rest of the world will suffer, too.

You know it's going to be a nice sunny day when artillery practice starts before 9am. The British army apparently only functions in certain weather conditions. I guess being created to serve as a tool of colonial oppression means their optimal operating temperature is usually above 20C.

Funny how folks like to say that humanities degrees are “useless” while the world is being actively destroyed by people not knowing about history, ethics, media literacy, or how to think critically. But sure, tell me again how STEM alone will save us.

When I left the Washington Post in 2023, my colleagues and I were worried AI would hoover up our work and enable "zombies" to churn out stories based on our reporting and writing styles. Today WaPo announced a partnership with OpenAI. And here it is: Zombie Gillian Brockell. I DID NOT WRITE THIS.

Trump’s playbook is simple: punish anyone who stands in his way. This ain’t law and order—it’s a rise of authoritarianism in real time.

"the American people are no economic fools. They understand what's happened over the past three months. They understand that back in January we had an economy that was moving along pretty well...And they've seen the enormous chaos subsequently."

This gap is going to cause problems, believe me. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

Encryption is one of the most important tools we have to protect privacy online. It keeps conversations safe from surveillance, abuse, and data breaches. Florida’s SB 868 will destroy encryption for young people and everyone they talk to. Tell FL lawmakers to protect digital privacy.

Helpful perspective from Jamie Kirchick. This op-ed captures one grave danger of Trump’s war-worsening scheme (it’s not a peace plan in any sense). Sadly, there are several more. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/25/o...

The IRS has a long history of keeping tax information confidential. But a new data-sharing agreement with ICE breaks that precedence and betrays the trust of immigrant communities in ways that could bear consequences for decades.

All 25 supported bakeries in Gaza have now shut down. As the blockade on Gaza continues for over a month, people face growing risks of severe hunger, malnutrition, and lack of adequate health care. Urgent humanitarian access is critical to resume lifesaving services #ceasefire

The Attorney General is so unserious. If you’re a prosecutor who is serious about obtaining a conviction, you don’t go on Fox and talk about the (alleged) facts of the case like this. Has Bondi read the Justice Manual? Has Bondi heard of pretrial publicity motions? How about bar ethics rules?
