Christmas Hedgehog always rolls a natural 20 on stealth checks. I think the dice are weighted.

As Dawn stole accross the land, her petty pilfering was unnoticed by many.
She only did it to support her habit, which was getting a little threadbare in places.

Little-known fact: It's not a Christmas carol, but a Ukrainian pre-Christian Spring Equinox song, which for me makes it even more magical. I have it as may daily alarm.

There is an old and fairly wide-spread belief that by naming something you can give it power. Invoking demons, etc. Thus references like "He who shall not be named". I've even heard Covid referred to as "the you-know-what".

I have a bonsai chestnut tree that I grew from a chestnut that I planted 38 years ago. Every time I calculate its age it frightens me more.

Use a simple rule, e.g. offset 5: whatever your real dob, subtract 5 from each number (unless it's 5 or less, in which case add 5). Then you have only one single-digit number to forget. 😉

Wow! These new 300bps modems are so fast! And they plug straight into the phone socket - no need to tape the receiver onto them.

I use tea bags - but they are made from biodegradable corn starch and self-fillable. I fill them with whole-leaf hand-rolled Orange Pekoe in the mornings and either Darjeeling or Golden Nepal in the afternoon.

I voted - and saw 77 yes votes. Then I re-loaded the page and it says 54 yes votes, which is suspicious.

In the early day of the Internet, we could hide email addresses from robots by replacing '@' with (at). Those methods could be dusted off and find a new use.

Before Faraging the shake the thickness depends on fat content, whether it has artificial emulsifiers, how violently it is shaken, and the temperature. For effective Faraging the shake should be fairly liquid but also quite sticky. Hope this helps.

It depends on the consistency of the milkshake and the width of the straw. If there is an excessive amount of Farage in your milkshake do not attempt to drink it by any means.

Under my desk I have Ubuntu by my left knee and Windows 11 by my right knee, with NoMachine so I can see them both on the same monitor.
Left runs four Valheim servers, Right plays on them.
