MERRY CHRISTMAS Wishing everybody a very brilliant Christmas and Festive Period 💙 Hoping your dreams have come true 🎄

Not commenting on the rumour going round surrounding a Chelsea player until an official statement is released.

Lineup thoughts: • Inclusion of Tosin implies Gusto inverting or Cucu in attacking midfield. • Enzo very likely to play in half space. • Brilliant to see THREE Academy players on the bench. • Lacking usual depth - need the starters to pull clear early Are you happy?

Chelsea Lineup Prediction - Brentford (h) Would you be happy with this?

I appreciate everything Gareth Southgate has done for the England National Team. However, knighting him is rewarding failure as we have not won any honours. England need to stop celebrating 2nd, 3rd, 4th placed finishes if we want to end 58 years of hurt.

Tottenham losing to Rangers would be seriously embarrassing. I love Scottish football, but it is far behind the top of the Premier League. There is no excuse for Ange tonight.

Half Time Thoughts: • Extremely comfortable • Rak-Sakyi looking great in pivot • Acheampong feels at home in defence • Pedro Neto utterly dominant • Brilliant to see Guiu score • KDH needs to do so much more • Great strike by Tomasov for Astana Time for more debuts!

Enzo Fernandez • 3 goals and 6 assists in last 6 games. • Most pre-assists in the league. • Third highest number of successful switches of play. He has only started 10 of 15 in the Premier League this season. Priceless.

Carney Chukwuemeka needs to start tomorrow. He is a young, hugely exciting player that has shown glimpses of excellence at Chelsea in the past. Inexplicable that he has not had chances this season — and there is no excuse tomorrow with Casadei out.

Brilliant to hear Josh Acheampong will start tomorrow and is close to signing. He has a massive future at Chelsea.

Chelsea are a world-class goalkeeper and centre back away from being title contenders. When we get those, we will be unstoppable.

Inevitable that David Coote would face dismissal after the videos were released. Hope he gets the support he needs in his personal life to get him back on his feet.

Marc Cucurella was flawless after changing his boots. Many players would let their head drop - he did not. Resilient 🔵

Enzo Maresca is brilliant. His tactical change at half-time was spot on - bringing Caicedo into the midfield traffic and Gusto to cover Son on the wing. Best tactical manager in the league.

Enzo Fernandez has been outstanding lately. He stepped up to the plate and been the world-class playmaker and distributor that we knew would develop. Long may this consistent excellence continue.

Special moment for this team. Chelsea have gone to Spurs, given a two-goal handicap, and beaten them anyway. This is the statement victory against a Big Six team that we desperately needed.

Perfect team. • Caicedo inverting from RB works, and allows Colwill to be the centre-CB. • Lavia had to be there for physicality • Sancho and Neto are best wingers for control • Jackson must feast behind the high-line. Enzo Maresca will get his first Big Six win today 🙏

Delighted to say I will be on BBC Radio Five Live Breakfast tomorrow morning to discuss all things Spurs v Chelsea. Always grateful for these opportunities

Thoughts and prayers are with Michail Antonio who has been involved in a car accident 🙏 Another awful incident that puts football into perspective.

Moises Caicedo is the best midfielder in the Premier League. He dines at his own table 🍴

Arsenal should not be mocked for their set pieces. Their mastery of the corner is a Get Out of Jail Free card for goals when they are playing badly and makes them more dangerous as a result. Chelsea are right to try and emulate this by bringing in a Set Piece Department.

Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart. They deserve huge credit for the position the club is in — they built a young and dynamic squad that is ready to compete. All of us (myself included) are quick to criticise when they make mistakes, but not enough have given them due credit.

Half Time Thoughts: • What a crazy half! • Chelsea poor in first 20 mins, but gifted two goals. • Attack increasingly dangerous - Palmer, Felix, Noni, Christo linkup great. • Defence shaky - So’ton lively going forward. • What has happened to Gusto? Let’s score 9! UTC 🔵

Hoping for a massive performance tonight. Want to see him play every weekend.

This is definitely a more rotated lineup than I expected tonight. • Great to see Jorgensen get his PL debut. • Surprised Badiashile is not there given he appeared to be preferred Fofana replacement. • Strong insurance on the bench if we need it. Are you happy and confident?

Midweek Premier League Fixtures have been a pitfall for Chelsea so often over the years. Victory tonight would be a substantial indicator that we are on the right track, and that will make Sunday’s win even sweeter.

Hoping to see a rotation this evening, partly for fitness and partly because some players deserve a go in the PL. Ideally, looking forward to seeing: • Christopher Nkunku • Joao Felix • Renato Veiga • Mykhailo Mudryk

Surely Julen Lopetegui cannot last much longer at West Ham. This has been awful from them. Who can replace him?

Enzo Maresca is right. Chelsea need to keep going match by match. There is no point setting targets for the end of the season now, there is still such a long way to go. Best approach is to focus on winning the next match.

The most toxic refereeing duo in the Premier League Chelsea already get overassigned Taylor - third time this season already.
