Thanks.

Canopy masked and sprayed tonight.
First time I've used interior and exterior masks. Interior worked fine, will have to wait and see what it looks like from the outside.
Sprayed the prop and spinner a few days ago in LP57 red brown 2, looks like khaki to me. Will respray with something else.

Even used X20A with the XF, first time in years, worked fine.
π
Used some AK Markers on small boxes (radios and the like) and rubbed thru with a stiff stipple brush in a similar way to the chipping fluid.
Then painted guns black and shined up with MC214 buffable paint.

Hardest part was juggling airbrushes, one for chipping fluid, one for paint.

XF59 applied over LP11 and chipping fluid then worn back.

The Japanese liked some weird colours for internals, that one and that green/blue on a Zero.
Looking good, boss.

There is the choice of open or closed canopies, either option has its own cockpit rail to go into.
These parts have their part number on where it won't be seen....nice.
comment in response to

While waiting for paint to arrive, I set about cutting off all the parts and cleaning them up. Finished that task tonight.
Not much clean up required.
The canopy parts are very nice, very clear and very thin.

Tamiya say XF-59.

Erm, a soft yes....have a lot of group builds now and later.
Might have a look at stash and shops, that'll probably fire me up.
