𝑺𝙩𝒓𝙤𝒉𝙛𝒆𝙪𝒆𝙧 is another one of those great German words that are steeped in the poetry of everyday life. Literally, it means "straw fire": straw catches fire quickly but only lasts while there's straw to burn. The English equivalent, "flash in the pan", isn't quite as powerful an image.
