Done. Trans people should not have to live in fear every day of being attacked or abused just because of who they are. We deserve better.

All transphobes are a danger to children because unlike my community we don't shelter child abusers and continue to support them even after conviction. Shame!

Irish folks, please contact your TDs

Done. Emailed my TDs expressing my support for trans people who are under attack and asking them to publicly support trans people and to call for better healthcare.

I went to this link, wrote a two-paragraph email expressing my support for trans rights and access to timely, non-traumatising healthcare, and sent it to my TDs. It took no more than ten minutes. If this ADHDer can do it, you can too!

I was strip searched by security at Luton airport in 2018, one of the most traumatic experiences I've ever endured. I nearly lost my sanity & dug up repressed memories of rape & SA from childhood. Seeing powerful women exclaim that this is fine is soul destroying. www.dublinlive.ie/news/trangsg...

Cis women in Ireland need to talk to other cis women in our lives and pour water on the kind of thinly veiled, soft-sounding bigotry that's creeping into people's social media and minds before we fully go the way of the UK. TERFs are claiming to speak FOR us - we need to speak for ourselves. Loudly.

Whatever gender criticals say about trans women, they are certainly doing themselves.

It's incredibly difficult to see and hear cis people in work chatting away about the most banal and normal of things, knowing they've no doubt seen all the Supreme Court news, while I sit here furious and silently freaking out about my life and future prospects.

@carladenyer.bsky.social was the only MP who pointed out one key issue with the response to the Supreme Court’s judgment in the FWS case: Trans people have a right to privacy. Making trans people out themselves breaches that right to privacy.

Come! The more trans folks the better, just yeah Cromwell was a genocidal piece of shit and the famine was caused by much much more than blight.

This is both wonderful but also a terrible indicator of just how bad it's gotten that a crab museum speaks more sense than the supreme Court of the UK and their human rights body.

I’ll do a little thread specifically on the approach taken by the Supreme Court in the U.K. in this decision.

"The Empire is drawing borders inside our heads now. Real men and women must behave in a particular way, because we have said that if either gender is not behaving in that way it becomes like the colonised- the lesser races. Most importantly, men (because they rule) must not be womanly"

This is the same gormless, feckless gombeen bastard who used Brianna Ghey's murder to get a photo opp with the girl's mother and lambast Rishi Sunak's attacks on trans people. Soulless cunt. www.theguardian.com/politics/vid...

The U.K. can’t diverge from EU caselaw on data protection without threatening adequacy. So, to be effective in opposition, the UK’s trans-friendly cohort must *really* push on the GDPR. The U.K. gov have no response & it creates huge financial risk. Money wins over recreational unpleasantness.

Handy little thread for people writing letters about the SC judgement 👇

I'm so stressed with all this going on. I can't relax. I feel on edge. I worry for what comes next. I feel hated. I feel abandoned. I feel persecuted and I know it's not going to get better before it gets even worse. I just want to be left alone to live my life. I want to continue to be me safely.

Minorities were frightened under the Tories. They're now terrified under Labour.

If I was a straight cis person who cared about LGBT rights and I was banned from Pride because I was part of an organisation that was harming LGBT people I think I'd understand. In fact I think it would inspire me to put internal pressure on that organisation to change

This is why it's important!!!

@leepitcher.bsky.social LET ME BE CLEAR! I WILL NOT not use the men’s toilet. To do so will place me at extreme risk of violence, rape and abuse.. If YOU as a member of the government expect me to use the men’s I will not comply. #transrightsarehumanrights

UK pals:

How are trans people supposed to focus on anything fucking else than this all-out assault 24 hours a day, seven days a week? Like, right now, I'm trying to do work I need to do to pay bills so I can live and yet I'm having to think, oh i need to sort my passport asap, and where will i piss.

Extract of my email to Pádraig Mac Lochlainn this morning. I get a feeling Sinn Féin have stopped responding to emails.

Using a single sex space for men would breach my privacy as it would reveal my gender history, remove any protection I have from being perceived to be female, and endanger me by making me share a space with my rapist. Labour's stance on this is abhorrent and inhuman.

Trans. Men. Are. Not. A. Gotcha.

The UK is harming all women. www.reddit.com/r/TallGirls/...

He said this before the election too and trans people raised hell about it and we're told to shut up and warned that we were going to let the Tories stay in power.

I need to submit for a CFP today, need to fix some imx8 image creation shit, need to reply to a bunch of emails, need to go to meetings, etc and like... I don't know how I'm expected to do any of this, as I slowly watch cis people continue their march towards removing trans people from public life.

Also, when people balk at actually asking our allies to do some ally shit and how that might alienate them, I want to point out that every single trans liberation demo in the last week has been full of trade unionists stepping up and being visible comrades on the knowledge that this fight matters.

Includes, improbably, literally the only Irish reporting on the decision from the CJEU in March ‘25, about how data re the gender of trans people is to be determined.

Well that's Britian (and possibly the north?) firmly on my no travel list. Fucking hell! They didn't waste much time making trans people second class citizens did they? www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

This article is so good Definitely read it, especially if you aren't British and want to understand what is going on www.thegist.ie/the-gist-tra...
