Looks like your path takes you through Simcoe County in Ontario. Historic sites Sainte-Marie among the Hurons and Discovery Harbour would be worth your time.

This is an earworm to which I will gladly submit.

Oh my. Will he or won’t he? Stupidest bit of drama in all of sports. Inconsequential choice gets breathless coverage.

The next two books on my list — right after I get through “Mystery in the Title” by those plucky Ferguson lads.

The more I read it (the review, not the novel), the more I got a creeping sensation it was produced by AI. I hope I’m wrong, but there was no byline and it just had that formulaic, slickly packaged feel to it. (I can’t wait to read “Whistle,” by the way.)

It doesn’t have to be an either/or situation. We can thumb our noses at the monarchy *and* tell Trump to take a hike.

LF for left field, 3B for third base, etc. Of course, then announcers wouldn’t be able to say the team just turned a 6-4-3 double play. And I guess you’d have to write even smaller on your scoresheet. Never mind. If it ain’t broke…

Why do we still use numbers to signify positions? First base is 3, third base is 5, second base is 4. I’m used to it, but it must be confusing to a baseball neophyte.

Not even a little bit.

Rush gets a deserved amount of praise and attention, but, for my money, Triumph is the greatest Canadian rock trio. And this song is awesome.

I always vote, but I’ve often muttered a complaint that my lone ballot doesn’t make a difference when close races usually have a margin of dozens or even hundreds. So much for that argument.

Never heard of him until I worked for The Hanover Post in the early 2000s. There’s a mural with his picture downtown. A shame he’s not better known. If he hadn’t given the great Jack Johnson a title shot in 1908, who knows how long it would’ve been before the world saw a Black heavyweight champion.

And so it shall be. Can’t say I saw that weak-ass call coming, but I’ll take it.

That “Raccoons On Ice” reference sure caught me off guard. 😄

Love your stuff, Will, but this one was a little too easy.

I’m 53 years old. I doubt I’ll live long enough to trust or respect the U.S. ever again.

I didn’t realize tedium could cure the common cold. Good to know for next time I get the sniffles. 😉

Thank you for this article. If I were an editor at @thestar.com and had to assign this piece to a reporter, I would’ve picked you. Compelling, heartfelt and so important in the current environment. Congratulations in advance for all the awards you’ll win for this.

I had the pleasure of interviewing him back in the late ’90s. We shook hands and his giant mitts just about swallowed mine. He could’ve crushed me with zero effort. It was a physical shock to be in the presence of such a powerful human being.

I always thought I’d die of a heart attack while shovelling snow in my driveway; never did I imagine a possible future in which I’d get killed by an invading American army.

I’m standing inside the arena in Penetanguishene right now (Go Kings!) and I don’t see a U.S. flag. Can’t recall ever seeing one. Why did Midland have one in the first place?

I feel strongly that it would be very beneficial for the people of the world if the next shooter doesn’t miss.

I’ve got a good feeling.

I can imagine Carney or Freeland making such a proposal, but the idea of Poilievre accepting it is pure fantasy. His mantra seems to be “party and personal ambition before country.”
