We need to start being harsher to people who choose to stay on that site and even pay to use it. Stop giving it legitimacy, the algorithm is entirely rigged against you, there is no 'winning'.

Appreciate the sentiment, but the only action I will support in terms of activity on that platform is deactivation. He can slag off Musk all he likes, but at the end of the day, he’s funding him by using the platform. Everyone needs to get off of it.

It doesn't matter, he's still driving engagement on the platform and giving people a reason to stay on there.

Congratulations! You are now the average Democratic pundit!
You have increased the userbase and engagement of the site owned and controlled by Elon, while helping fund it.
Keep up the good fight and maybe consider getting premium+ so you can get that extra bit of reach!

It's kinda sad to see. People are patting themselves on the back for posting Elon criticism on the site he owns, often even paying him for the services.

If you're a democrat that has a Tweet on there recently with thousands of retweets, regardless of the topic, you have achieved nothing but driving engagement to a site where those are free to be manipulated by the owner's algorithm for his own end.

The undertones of "I tried my best" are dumb. The fight isn't over at all. Learn from the mistakes of letting Trump get away with everything to actually oppose what he does in the future.
They can play victim, act persecuted, threaten you with repercussions, but you can just say no.

This is bigger than it being a hostile environment, or losing the block function, or even having extremists on the platform.
This is someone, who is part of a wider group of people who ideologically want to dismantle democracy using their owned platform to puppeteer people into letting them do it.

To be clear, I don't put people who are indifferent about the event in that bucket, just those who see it as a genuine form of justice.

I wish there was better discourse about the death penalty. There's a lot of people who are dishonestly against it, and it stops discourse about fundamental opposition to it.

Like “killing people for internet points” isn’t a novel thing, 8chan produces these guys all the time. Do you think maybe the guy with the funny Monopoly money backpack and engraved bullets might have been killing someone for internet points? Do you think we’re immune

Twitter's principal utility (from a content curation perspective) is in journalists' willingness to post there; without it, Twitter quickly becomes 4chan. Journalists, make it happen. The only thing keeping you there is stasis. We can have nice things.

"I let them vote how they wish" is a big red flag here.

I don't mind the subscription stuff as long as it doesn't improve reach or act p2w in any way.
I really hope they don't go with rev share though, it incentivizes the worst form of engagement bait.

I think there absolutely needs to be a feature where you can request to be removed due to not matching the list description.
Also, people who make clearly malicious deceptive block lists with inappropriate people added should be banned from being able to make them.

Do you plan to save DGG names for people with the corresponding DGG accounts in order to stop people taking others names?
