Musk needs supples of Lithium for his car batteries and he controls Starlink. So I wonder where this idea came from? 🤔

No, you need to consider it now! If you wait for a peace agreement it will take you another two years to agree on anything and then another two years to organise any troops to send

Seems appropriate to give this ‘one heart’ or a ‘like’ !

I wonder why South Africa thought to nominate this South African lad who also happens to be the world’s richest man and who has close links to the world’s most powerful man? 🤔

Two memorable reads I recall: Juno and the Paycock - imagine a class in rural Hampshire reading that.. excruciating Romeo & Juliet - Class went to a production. Teacher had to stop the coach on the way home to retrieve all of the opera glasses we had nicked from the theatre seats

I was devouring books at that age, but didn’t have a clue as to what the purpose of English Lit was and our teachers didn’t help. I read a book, enjoyed it or not, moved onto the next one as soon as. I didn’t understand the need to stop and debate every detail. Still don’t really get it tbh…

Gotta ask who with Conservative and Reform party connections stand most to gain from this constant barracking of Labour by Trump and Musk? Follow the money...

Great idea but needs to be user choice. I would also like a widget that shows me who I am following. I seem to spend a lot of time checking author profiles….

The current Monet exhibition of London Bridge scenes at the Courtauld is great by the way. Tip - pick up one of the small booklets on the way in, they have copies of the explanatory script for each painting and much easier to read then trying to squint at the wall...

Yes! Lol I love the grittier lorry names we have round the UK - I remember Nick Grimshaw (radio one back then) had one named after him - the Nick Gritshaw…

Concerns about the use of salt on UK roads and the environmental impact are well known and some local authorities do or have tried alternatives. Quite what they are I can’t remember, maybe Ed could update his thread with that info

Agreed, let them speak, then listen and understand their nonsense, block as necessary. After all we were all told fairy tales when we were small and we learnt to separate these from reality? I would still like to know if Elon Musk would be welcome to join this platform? Maybe he already has…

If I’m properly enjoying a book I don’t even notice the chapters. But….I really don’t like very short chapters, I do notice those and they are annoying and tbh any book with very short chapters is probably some pretentious nonsense anyway

Ok so that's a fail - my iPad is too old. This app needs iOS 17.6

Excellent 👍 will give this a try, been waiting for an iPad app since I joined. I use the Safari browser on the iPad, which is ok...

Agreed but I draw the line at 'Juno and the Paycock'. The torture of having to listen to this read out in class by my, raised in Hampshire schoolmates, in a faux Irish accent....no, never again

Pathology results, which are so often required for assessment and monitoring, are completely unavailable if a patient moves from one hospital to another, unless they stay within the same hospital Trust or group - ludicrous situation in this day and age
