It's more about ownership/control of the means of communication than the means of production. No strategy on its use is likely enough without control of the algorithms. If it's monetised with adverts, the same controls/obligations as for trad publishers should apply

The last 10 games could be quite tasty - of course, barring any new injuries or suspensions 🤞

Always thought it was the ground staff kettle that tripped the leccy that day 🤔

#NCFC Sainz 6 match ban starts today, playing the second choice goalie & a depleted midfield. Only positive - Sargent in the squad as he starts his comeback from a long injury. He may get 10mins! #BHAFC favourites, assuming the ground staff kettle doesn't trip the floodlights

Indeed - on three sides, the fourth is being restored/rebuilt now. The 20k plus was when it was mostly standing with the old Quarry Lane end open terracing. It's apparently the oldest professional football ground in the world 🤔

Indeed, for the quarter final with Leicester that followed the attendance was 23500. I found myself caught up in a collapse of the concrete perimeter barrier. The game was played with supporters ringing the playing area.

My greatest FA Cup memory was in Feb 1969 as a small boy watching Third Division Mansfield Town, beat West Ham 3-0. WHUFC had three of the England 1966 World Cup team playing. The weather had seen the 5th round fixture postponed a few times. Somehow over 20000 were at Field Mill that night!

Indeed, her pre-recorded announcement on the changes were a classic of this.

Afraid I’m with Anthony on this - I find him rather vacuous and his speech style is all rather ‘smashy & nicey’ … but then Mary Anne Hobbs also grates with me - so pretentious, so happy that she’s off the morning slot. These differences in tastes are good though, be really boring otherwise 😅

Would be nice to see a link to this Bluesky version, rather than (or even, as well as) the X link used in Politico’s emails 😉

Indeed, can't be hard to parallel post - especially for a media team. Even announcing on X that posts also available on Bluesky encourages movement across. Was good to see some match time banter here last night, but still mostly go to the Wrath for that 😉

Appreciate the post here without having to go to the dark side. Dr Dublin doing his usual great service on Wrath, but not yet fully over to the light for links.
