WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS? Protests and posts and letters with zero action mean nothing while we lose our democracy. I'm talking US Marshal arrests. I'm talking getting our EU allies over here to fight this fascist dictator. I'm talking impeachment and REMOVAL. PICK SOMETHING AND DO IT.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS? I am sick to death of these strongly worded posts and letters with zero action. I'm talking US Marshal arrests. I'm talking getting our EU allies (if we still have any) over here to fight a fascist dictator. I'm talking impeachment and REMOVAL. PICK SOMETHING AND DO IT

My ideal date is the celebration party that half of America has when that man d!es. Champagne, a Louboutin heel, a blowout, loud music, fireworks. The most romantic thing I can think of. πŸ’•

Read and share: Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change. www.bbc.com/future/artic...

They were just Presidents. They got the job, they did the job, the reset button was hit, and they each got their flowers. And Trump needed a N@zi Nepo Baby, a foreign fascist, unlimited shady backroom dealings, a few $B loyalists, and millions of cultists just to get and do the same. damn. job.~fin~

I'm not splitting hairs about who was the best or worst of the portraitures in the back of our vignette; what I'm noting is that none of them had to pretend to play the part. They didn't need the assistance of a drug addicted N@zi with a grudge or a blind cult. They weren't cosplaying. 🧡 (one more)

Exemplifying all the ways to be exactly the right brand of masculine for this very masculine, American era we've entered. And the funniest part is that the true focal point for the type of masculine any of them either pretend to represent or hope to, is actually in the background. Real presidents.🧡

Trump's usual Scorsese-wannabe posture (Pacino would never), feigning weight and stern, iron and oak. Three different male forms, all propped in position to play a role: A) sturdy but inoffensive young chap, B) Otherworldly genius with secrets inside realms of other secrets, and C) A titan leader. 🧡

"We're not evil men, we're fathers! We couldn't possible tear families asunder, we have children! Nothing we're doing t̢o̢ for you isn't the same thing we wouldn't do for our own families!" And the starkness in Musk's Neo-wannabe black fit topped with that stupid hat (Keanu would never) against... 🧡

So he's curious. (Curious?) Amiable. (Amiable?) No, docile. This is a child who isn't looking to Daddy -- not the other way around -- for reassurance and comfort that all these people are just here for Daddy Things, they won't bother you, son. Because what he also is, is a prop. A palate cleanser. 🧡
comment in response to post
The child, unaware of how Daddy is using him in this photo for the same reason he exists in the world -- a progeny, a forgettable 11th place (and counting, potentially?). He simply does what children do: observe the environment before them. I'm assuming this one is full of photographers.🧡

This child is a prop. We know this because Musk's relationship with any and all of his children is public knowledge; he's not fatherly, and they don't like him. They're all either IVF or surrogate which was his idea, because of the "control" it allows over pregnancy. I mean just call it eugenics. 🧡

Oh, they're built. They've been built. And the worst part? Republicans are investors. They'll literally profit off of the US version of the Hol0c@ust.

They've survived those catastrophes so far *because* of their wealth. They were able to sustain COVID bc they had the resources to hire in-home educators, personal Drs, etc. and still travel and live lavishly. Climate change? One property washes out to sea but they've got 49 more. It has to be $$$.

So, I'm obviously completely joking about this and it's not meant to be taken seriously πŸ‘€ but as the granddaughter of Italian immigrants, I know that blue states like NY, PA, and even Murphy's own CT are where the M@fia live. I wonder if any Dems know any...πŸ‘€ But that's just me being a silly goose.

This is partially what I've wondered, but also, as someone who reeeeaaally struggled with high school Econ, it's my understanding that worth =/= actual wealth. If the rich has their money in stocks and properties and businesses, etc, and those all tank? That's what the Great Depression was.

Does it actually change political discourse? Or does it eventually just become X? Myspace --> FB--> Instagram --> TikTok, etc. Humans sucking on new/different apps will never stop. I'd prefer to keep BlueSky in its own sandbox. For the kids that don't eat glue.

"Mistakes are how we learn, not admitting when we've made one is how we don't" is what I always tell my students, so I'll show you my warts and all in the hopes that it's a teachable moment. πŸ’™

@rixende.fellas.social and @b21raider.bsky.social would either or both of you be willing to tag the OP or message them encouraging them to take this down? We can't let disinformation run rampant on here. I even fell for this myself before I read the comments.
comment in response to post
@katsnewlife.bsky.social please don't. It's posted way out of context. It's actually Musk agreeing with a Republican who was agreeing with a Muskrat about a judge's order halting the shady business DOGE has been doing. Context matters.

Thank you! BS is starting to become the lib version of the Musk app, and not in a good way. Because we're an echo chamber of like-minded users, we're less likely to fact check or think critically about what we read on here, and even as an actual MLIS/ Information Scientist, I've been guilty as well.
comment in response to post
Thank you for asking. BlueSky is starting to run into the same problem as Musk's app, in that because it's an echo chamber of like-minded users, fact-checking and critical thinking isn't used as often (or at all). I'm seeing more and more misinformation and/or posts like this made out of context.

@greasergal.bsky.social thank you. I just went and looked into this based on your singular comment (even though I'd already reposted this and tagged my reps) and you're absolutely right. The OG poster is a Muskrat, the reply tweet came from Rep Lee from UT, an R, then Musk echoed it. Context matters
