This is the UKSC Judge who stripped trans people of legal recognition - Lord Patrick Hodge. In 2011, he headed a Church of Scotland commission to look at gay relationships. The report is full of stuff saying God wouldn’t approve - and even asks for ‘biological proof’ of gay.

This highlights the sophistication of the government lawyers’ work. They didn’t just consider equality. They considered the complex implications of cross-border equality as well. Cross-freaking-border! Yet the Supreme Court acted as if the civil servants had no idea what they were doing.
