This photo of Gretchen Whitmer hiding from the cameras will be the defining photo for any 2028 presidential run she tries to make now. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/12/u...

The media already demonstrated that they place all the blame for any negative situation in Afghanistan on Biden and Democrats for withdrawing. Sending Afghans (many of whom directly assisted US forces) there to be tortured and oppressed by the Taliban will only produce more favorable news cycles

I used to select Dem primary candidates based on policy. Now I will aggressively try to destroy any Dem who says "we need to look forward not backward" and fervently support anyone who says "I will see these motherfuckers prosecuted and jailed if it's the last thing I do."

Witkoff touching his heart the moment he sees Putin to show admiration and respect is also nauseating. The representative of the most powerful country in the world fawning over a tyrant of an almost broken imperialist nation. That would have tipped the balance of power towards Putin in that meeting.

They all do, but at least I don't call them credible. Lets keep doing our best to fight news illiteracy in the news.

If you are actively culling your library to keep books like "The Bell Curve" while removing criticisms of the book, you are building a white supremacist library.

The capitulation of the law firms, like the prior collapse of Republican elected officials, is a lesson in the rot that's hollowed out so many of the pillars of our establishment beneath a nice and presentable surface.

The Senate confirmed Dan Caine as Chair of the Joint Chiefs 60-25 overnight. 15 Democrats voted yes, giving tacit approval to Trump's purge of military leadership.

the key thing to understand is that the primary reason that venture capitalists turned hard right-wing is that MeToo removed the only thing they care about: the ability to rape their subordinates

Trump has amassed over a billion dollars in collective pro bono hours pledged by big law firms. As DOJ faces an exodus of talent and lawyers, he's going to force these firms to argue on behalf of the US in favor of horrifying fascist policies as part of their pro bono requirements.

The powers that be are very invested in Cuomo winning the NYC mayorship (one of the 10 most powerful executive roles in the USA) because, like Adams before him, he represents the best chance to let conservatives and business interests run a city mostly full of liberal voters.

Within less than 24 hours of each other. I wonder if they even realize these are connected.
