It is a legal form that has been abused by companies to benefit from laws intended to help true charitable organizations, and allows insiders profit from the pain they cause.
Universal healthcare is the solution.
If they live in America and they are doing business, they think it's okay to be corrupt and get exceptions in situations that other do not.

'Health insurance' started out as insurance, but has evolved into a classic case of rent-seeking. The most egregious case in the US since the railroad trusts.
