Arturo Suárez is the kind of guy whose last song on his YouTube page is about trying to be happy among all the hard things in life. I’m worried about him and about all the others we sent there. It’s not just Mr. Abrego. It’s Andry and Arturo and Neri and so many others. youtu.be/1xiANLIHGMc?...

It’s absolutely devastating to be poor and have your kids credit ruined before pre-k, by the way. Anyway they talked about how they were treated for wanting some basic data privacy protections. It was a good example of how we treat data as a market right.

Every so often I post on Facebook articles about how to maintain some semblance of data privacy there. Most of my friends say thanks, but I always have one or two who are a little hostile. Like, "I assume FB has everything, if you want privacy don't use the site." It's an interesting dynamic.

Seven years later as the president chucked them at Puerto Ricans, I realized that cleaning up disasters with paper towels was the Republican Party's disaster recovery policy. I told you, plotline so insidious even Hollywood would not write it.

A detail I found interesting was that this guy attended meetings, quite a number of meetings, and was heard and was part of the conversation. This is in contrast with the stereotype that conservative and right wing voices are suppressed, not permitted to join in campus discourse.

As a former employee of that corporation-- I worked at their import warehouse in Lacey, WA, ages ago-- nothing about this is at all surprising. Target's management loves paying lip service to diversity and inclusion...and among my superiors were some of the most bigoted human beings imaginable.

3/3: Eligible researchers could include professors and graduate students. More researchers at home will help us solve Canadian problems, and export more Canadian solutions to the global marketplace.

2/3: If the U.S. cuts a researcher’s project funding, we will work with the Canadian research ecosystem if projects can directly help Canadians or be commercialized here. Where the U.S. is squeezing out researchers, we will look to welcome research here in Canada.

For anyone who doesn't know, Horatio Sanz is a less famous SNL alum with minor roles in various TV shows. Google "Horatio Sanz minor" for more information.
