This is a really helpful breakdown of the often-cited 3.5% figure. Larger mobilizations are more successful, historically, but smaller mobilizations can still topple regimes.
In a U.S. context, the protests will probably also need to be sustained through weekdays.

this trump supporter was the only counter-protestor i saw, and the police forced him to stand on the other side of a creek far away from the crowd of thousands — all alone, he helplessly kept trying to shout "you are the minority!"
