In order to be meaningful, it would have to be someone in Trump’s orbit, or someone high-ranking at DOJ.
The issue I see there is that Trump will likely just pardon them and throw us head-first into a real Constitutional crisis.

Iran.
The Trump administration is way out of their depth in these negotiations. There’s a rumor that they’re going to demand that Iran dismantle their entire civilian nuclear program, as well as any military applications.
If so, that’s obviously a complete nonstarter and will likely lead to war.

I hope so. I got pretty concerned today when DOJ lawyers claimed to not have any idea where he’s at.

On the bright side, now that we know what his plan is… if you have disposable income to invest (read: not money you need to survive) it might not be a bad idea to buy when he does something stupid and take advantage of the blatant market manipulation.

I think hoping for any meaningful results during this administration is a fever dream.
I’m not sure what the statute of limitations is for that particular crime, but we aren’t going to see charges until Trump’s out of office, at the very minimum.

I think he thought it would be an easy negotiation, yes.
What he doesn’t realize is that China has most of the leverage here.
All he’s managed to do so far is weaken the dollar, and if he doesn’t cut the bullshit, China will be in a position to make that even worse.

Did Trump really think China would cave? It’s a dictatorship they don’t care if their people suffer. The more I think about this tariff war with China the more I think this maybe his biggest mistake ever. Watching the US decouple economically from China has got to be making Taiwan anxious.
