I was skittish about signing up, but *so* glad I did!
(Bonus is that the patterns are in the entire size range 2XS-4XL, and she teaches us how to reproduce them on mylar, so they're durable and reusable.)

It's been fun! It's from a designer I like, but her clothes are really spendy. She realizes that, and has started teaching how to sew her patterns, but she demystifies a lot of sewing techniques along the way.

One of the cool things from last night: seated hip measurement.
The instructor: Pictures of clothes are frozen in place, but our bodies MOVE, and the clothing you make needs to be up to the task. Go through your range of motion and measure it.

When I ordered the tracing paper, I thought "thin papers." No. These puppies are transparent plastic. Once I get the pattern cut, these things will be tougher than the paper, and can be reused easily. Giddy!
