As I've said before: every performative leftist is a feminist until it's about a real tangible woman in front of them and not about generalized self righteous speeches. Then it becomes "I didn't mean HER." "She" is always the exception, especially if "she" is another minority too.

You're blaming a woman for representing that in a simple picture while being sexual, instead of the system she's challenging. Just wake up ffs. And also take your brand of "leftist" far away from me.

-it is a direct path to victim-blaming, it is a path to ableism, and so many other things. It is a product and tool of rape culture. You're using a tool of patriarchy subjugation to try to subjugate a woman and punish her for what you're saying is patriarchal subjugation...

-And, seriously, have you actually looked at the image, at the thing you're raging about? Does it take that little to offend your purity sensibilities?? Goddamn people. I have said this before, purity culture is a path to radicalization. It is a path to queerphobia. It is a path to bimisoginy-

-Have you even considered the possibility that she could be representing the conflict between her sexual and romantic desires versus exactly what you're raging about: feeling like men always get the upperhand on her? And even if she's just being provocative, why does it bother you so much??-

-being provocative, and pushing boundaries when culture is stagnant and being censored. Queer rights, as an example, specially, weren't won by conforming to normie and purity cultures. They were won by being brazen and unashamed and "shocking" the public with way stronger messages than this.-

-a woman, the problem is you. Instead of lashing out, why not sit with what makes you so uncomfortable? Why not dissect those uncomfortable feelings? Why not look at your internalized purity culture ideals? Sabrina's art is doing exactly what millions of fighting artists have done many times before-

-bothers you more than the realities you're being confonted about, then the problem is you. Even if all she's doing is expressing her sexuality and that bothers you more than the realities of subjugated women, the problem is you. If being reminded of patriarchal subjugation makes you want to attack-

"But they understood that Heard v. Depp did benefit Republicans, especially Trump. "The entire circus was useful for convincing people that it's okay to choose disinformation over the truth, especially when the facts make you feel bad." www.salon.com/2025/06/02/j...

"The more evidence she produced against Depp, the angrier the mob got. "They wanted Heard to shut up, not because they didn't believe her, but because they did." www.salon.com/2025/06/02/j...

"Thank you being curious about something that used to be thought of as too industry-centric for broad discussion. You'll never know how much it means to me that you cared. Every single bit of it counted, and ended us up here.(...)" 14/15

"(...)if that would be something you guys would be excited about. But if it happens, it won't be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have. It will just be a celebration now. I'm extremely heartened by the conversations this saga has reignited(...)" 12/15
