I personally consider the boycott a success because it was a baby practice action for people who have never done that before. People got on board! They got to feel what it was like! It was easy! And when they get asked to do something next, they’ll have an experience to build off of.

Drove up to Montgomery today, and man, it really *is* a lot nicer out of the southern part of the state. Had this new-to-me toy cleaned and serviced, decided to join Costco to bulk shop 1x a month, and got to eat lunch out (not great). Solid day with my spouse-bestie.

My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.

S’pose I can do something other than reshare posts. Been doing some reading to wrapu up January. The theme seems to be pink horror novellas. The Night Guest is a solid read; the translation is smooth, well-done. It’s creepy and just the right amount of disturbing without leaning too hard into it.
