Overall happy with the list, was a nice top off to an already great YCS, small hits to maliss and ryzeal while keeping some decks that could see competitive play like blue eyes and memento doing having a better time after the list without dweller/less shifter. Wish lancea was on it but still great.

Finally, the bans: gryphon and dweller are very welcome, less lingering floodgates. Link decoder might be too harsh especially with lancea still around but sure. Bahamut is a good hit to mermail/atlantean, can see why shark players are sad they chose it over toad, but sprights are pog so I'm glad.

Brilliant fusion is for the gem-knight support coming, ig circular is for the @ignister stuff but that will already see good play (mostly for maliss), crossout and talents I wasn't expecting them to actually do but are welcome additions to the list, hand traps doing what they need to do is nice.

Limits: Druiswurm is sad to see go down, especially with maliss losing some stuff, shifter is rip bozo (also might mean exo will have an alt art of it), master peace is nice to come back, detonator and bonfire are more ryzeal hits which I'm happy to see the grind game hit for detonator...

For semi-limits: 3 less ryzeal and maliss cards is w/e, consistency hits have never really felt the best way to me, then morphing jar same as cyber. Baby chaos rulers coming back for d-link is nice, ash and poplar coming back up is fine due to OSS ban. Sharvara coming back is nice for fiend decks.

Here's the replay of the game that got me into DL max. made some misplays, mostly putting branded beast in the column i chose, using maxx "c" in the draw phase especially since ttt isn't seen much and, using s:p too soon might've been weird but I wanted to use it before they summoned unicorn again.

spheres I also didn't make as much, but good for magnamhut access. s:p helped a lot for grind games and, i:p helped with that or by making underworld goddess which also helped outing annoying monsters like chaos angel or tyrant dragon. moon effect did bait interaction one time which was funny.

for extra deck choices, fiendsmith package is standard with the addition of m7 and aerial eater, the former I never made (same as caesar) and, the latter i made if I ever needed to push for more material when the numbers wouldn't add up with lacrima. ty-phon helped getting rid of tyrant/jet dragon.

steam the cloak is 3 free link material and is why link spider/almiraj are in deck. I tried a few other alternatives prior such as cyberse gadget with disciple/devotee but that felt worse into maxx "c" and I also tried seyfort + 1 of each baby chaos dragon but that felt worse for going 2nd.

Veiler for being a light as well being used on kash cards/choke points, same with imperm but it's a trap. droll and retaliating "c" are very good into fiendsmith/azamina decks. maxx "c" and fuwalos are good for drawing more bystials or for the 1 of nib. ash is for opposing maxx "c" or brafu.

For deck choices, since I'm going second, cutting down on lubellion was good, I replaced it with the trap card since having it for the grind game came up a fair bit. Having only 1 fiendsmith spell/trap came up a few times but didn't hinder the combo too badly, just would be glad when lacrima comes.

I dislike this meta, not only because the 2 best decks are combo heavy, but also the cards I would've liked in this format aren't in here. Mostly the remaining centur-ion cards, as well as main deck lacrima which would've been really helpful for this deck. Overall glad I'm done with this now.

While removing the dpe package I moved more towards letting the opponent go first regardless since a lot of these cards can heavily disrupt the 2 big meta decks and win in the grind game. Making the opponent go first both makes tenpai players go first and make opponents think you're on tenpai.

Games are pretty smooth unless hit with the roach always or by nib if you're going for the anti-tenpai line of dumping Gatchiri @Ignister with terahertz and bringing it back with Splash Mage. If you want 40 cards you can drop a veiler/imperm/ttt, although drawing multiplication or guardian sucks.

Bans:
Nightmare and jowgen are always nice to see banned, but like with how they hit scythe way after that was the problem, branded or any of its variants hasn't been doing anything for months
OSS ban is probably correct but it does suck that fire king snake eye got more affordable then got hit

Limits:
Chundra and kaimen are very big hits to tenpai, making it very undesirable to play anymore which is nice
Phantom is also a big hit to one of the other top 4 decks this ycs and hopefully means less of that deck too
Barrage to 1 probably won't do anything since drident is banned still

Semi limits:
Cyber jar is a neat card and would love to see some sort of mill or combo deck take use of it being at 2
Level 3 dangers should come back to 3 at this point but 2 is good too
Eva to 2 is probably the weirdest number it can be at, choose any other one
Monkeyboard is nice for consistency

Oh wait it can search *any* field spell. Generic 8 with that seems like it can be very interesting, i await to see how people can break it.
comment in response to

Unfortunately not the link 1 that searches the field spell, it's a level 8 synchro that does it. Not too much else to say other than it has a similar effect to the tenyi link 4 minus the token generation. As I've mostly been talking about tenyis with swordsoul, I wonder how it will fare with ryu-ge.
comment in response to

As for HDC the play in swordsoul tenyi would be to save it for when mo ye/taia would be hit with imperm/veiler so you can dodge it and add shthana to still make an 8, the other play being adding protos. Making it searchable lets you cut down on it but still not being swordsoul in name is not good.

Back to the 1st effect of the field spell, if you had been hit with nibiru you could use vessel to send ashuna to add shthana/surya due to the token, and add the other to hand so you can special both for a synchro 8. This can be a very interesting play but probably not great as they can wait to nib.

Next card is a field spell that searches 2 cards that were interchangable or cut all together in swordsoul tenyi decks. going 2nd it can also tribute a wyrm to pop something of your opponents and, for the 3rd effect, while draw 2 is nice i'm not sure if the added brick would be worth for swordsoul.
comment in response to

It's a tuner so it won't replace shthana for the HDC play and it's not a 7 or 1 so it won't replace the main 3 tenyis. 1st effect is different than the usual tenyi special summon and is really nice. 2nd effect is neat for potential link plays if you aren't wyrm locked.

Same list since the last DC.
Changes in main you could make include: swapping the gatchiri for a 3rd imperm if you want to keep it at 40, just add the imperm for 41 or, adding the cynet conflict package that I took out.
Changes in extra could be link spider/singularity for packbit/2nd splash mage.
