I was a child of divorce with parents in different states, so I got to roam free through the streets of 70s and 80s Las Vegas and, a few times, the San Fernando Valley. And I didn’t know anyone in the Valley, so I spent a couple summers walking around by myself in a strange neighborhood!

I am actually not opposed to holiday creep as much as some folks, but COME ON, Target. It’s not even Flag Day yet! They must be getting super desperate to pump up the Q2 numbers. If I were them, I’d lean into the “buy now before Trump tariffs kick in!” messaging—even if it did annoy Dear Leader.

I don't claim to know whether what's going on with Trump and Musk is real or kayfabe; either is logical with those two morons. BUT: I lean toward the latter becasue the truth is, Musk's objections are that the bill doesn't cut deeply enough and hurt the middle class MORE. Mike Johnson likes this!

Count me as one of the 11.1 million that watch YouTube during prime time. I hardly watch linear cable or broadcast TV these days. In fact, if I am WFH I have on either YouTube or Twitch on in the background to listen to ML7/Emongg's Overwatch streams and then The 8-Bit Drummer in the late afternoon

Amen to all of this. I get the anger at many of the WaPo decisions, and Bezos has done so much harm there in the past 9 months. Don’t subscribe if the paper doesn’t suit your needs/isn’t in your budget. Support indie journalism, too. But we should want it to survive and hopefully thrive again.
