“A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius” What are the current thoughts? I haven’t read it in ~20 years. As #genx when I first read it, it was the first — only — time I had read literary fiction that mirrored my own internal monologue. It was as if the voice was mine.

“Old” media certainly had issues, but it was relatively fair, it aligned reality for the majority and that reality was based on truth. Overall they took their position seriously; acted ethically. It’s disappearing. We’ll have only chaotic info spaces where the truth is decided by broligarchs.
