Played Avowed for 5 Hours, first impressions are good. Playing on Hard difficulty and it feels like a perfectly challenging but still fun experience. Gameplay is fun and feels great. Can't speak on the story really but so far it is intriguing.

Final game of Civ 6 before Civ 7 releases. Haven't played Civ in a while so I'm a bit rusty. Was a very intense ending with a 3 way science rivalry between me, Phillip II, and Cleopatra. Am very excited for Civ 7.

I know I have trashed on UE5 a ton recently, and that's not going to change. I am extremely worried for The Witcher 4. I have full faith in CDPR to make a great game but I am worried about the technical aspects of this game. RED Engine works so well, they really should just stick with it.

Crazy how Shadow of The Erdtree still runs so bad on my PC. I havent really been able to dive into it too much since it launched due to the Achievement Challenge but Rellana's boss fight is near unplayable. Averaging 48 FPS with dips to the 20's. As a comparison, Dancing Lion didn't go below 60.

Hot take: Bethesdas creation engine is a perfectly good engine. Fans of Bethesda games, especially those on PC, are probably also those who would want to mod them. If BGS switched to UE5, the performance and optimization would get a lot worse, AND the mods would not be anywhere near as good.
