Performance is excellent on a Ryzen 5 7600x and 4070s. All high settings with Ray Tracing on gets around 80-100 outside of towns and cities. Dips to about 50-60 when inside towns. Overall very solid game and I am excited to dive into it more.

Most games are played either on PC or Steam Deck, mostly depending on if I’m home or how demanding a game is. The only other console I own is a Nintendo Switch, which I use for Nintendo exclusives.

I can’t even go pick everything up because UPS’s stupid MyChoice system doesn’t fucking work at all so I’m now at the whims of the weather and UPS.

Now I really hope I'm wrong. I want UE5 to get better, I would love it if the AAA studios were able to optimize it to the point that all the issues are nonexistent. However, I am not optimistic about it.

I didn't mean to ramble so much but I am just worried about the future of gaming. This focus on photorealism is ruining the optimization of games and every studio switching to UE5 will make every game look the same too.

This is also NVIDIA's fault but if UE5 wasn't so reliant on upscaling and was more optimized, it would be a lot less of an issue. I don't see the 4060 lasting more than 3 years or so at this rate.

Meanwhile, the 2060, a card from 2019, has lasted for nearly 6 years and is only now really starting to show its age at 1080p, and that's without DLSS 3 and Frame Generation, which the 4060 HEAVILLY relies on.

Every UE5 game forces TAA which makes everything a blurry mess even when still. The RTX 4060, a newish GPU that is targeted at 1080p is already struggling hard at 1080p for new games.

And for those curious, heres the upgrade: i5 10400 > Ryzen 5 7600X RTX 2080Ti > RTX 4070 Super 32GB 2666 DDR4 > 32GB 6000 DDR5

Im going to be building a new PC soon which will make this a non issue but it sucks that I still cant really play Shadow of The Erdtree yet.

Bioshock Remastered - This game is so good. Its been years since I played this and I've never played the remaster. Getting to re-experience this game was so great. This took 12 hours.

So ultimately, Bethesda should forever stay on Creation Engine. Does it need improvement? Yes, but we saw a lot of that improvement with the technical side of Starfield, and I am still confident that Elder Scrolls 6 will be very good as long as it’s anywhere near as optimized as Skyrim is.

Stardew Valley - This is such a wonderful game. I did most of the achievements on a coop perfection farm with my best friend which made the grind very enjoyable. This took 330 hours and nearly 4 years.

Divide By Sheep - Cute little puzzle game that I got for free a few years ago. Took me 3.4 Hours.

Life Is Strange Remastered - Honestly, I don't really know what I was cooking earlier when I said I preferred Before The Storm, the voice acting in that game was a bit better but this playthrough of Life is Strange gave me a newfound appreciation for it. Completed in 11.8 Hours, took 2 days.

Emily is Away <3 - I might as well finish out the trilogy. This was probably the weakest of the 3 games and I just wasn't as interested in it as I was the previous two. Still a nice game though. Took 5 hours.

Life is Strange: Before The Storm Remastered - Telltale-esque game, prequel to Life is Strange. I actually like this game a good bit more than the original despite it being shorter. This took exactly 8 hours across 3 days to platinum.

Baldurs Gate 3 - I wish I played this at launch, but was unfortunately caught up with Starfield. This is one of the best games I have ever played. 206 hours, 11 months, and 3 playthroughs later, I have finally got all achievements in this game.
